A Chicago brand. Every pair handcrafted to order at Tevfik’s bench in Gaziantep.
Marquis Oxford – Black is the standard of formal elegance. The closed-lacing silhouette and fine brogue detailing have defined men’s dress shoes for over a century — and a Blake-stitched leather sole means they can be resoled for years rather than replaced.
These black oxford shoes are your foundation for weddings, black-tie events, and career-defining moments. Explore our full range of Oxford Shoes.
Why These Black Oxford Shoes
Wedding Essential
The deep black finish and closed lacing make these the natural choice for a tuxedo or formal black suit — wedding-ready oxford shoes for the moments that matter.
Timeless Formal Style
Never out of place at a gala or in a boardroom. These formal shoes for suit attire set the standard from black-tie events to career-defining meetings.
Brogue Character
Fine brogue perforation and a subtly croc-textured panel add quiet detail without breaking the clean lines of these black oxford shoes.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Sizing, delivery, returns, and care — answered.
How do I choose my size?
The Marquis runs true to size — order your usual US size. Between sizes, size up; wide feet, size up once. Not right? We offer a free U.S. size exchange, and your new pair is handcrafted in about three weeks. See the size guide near the size selector for the full US/EU/UK chart.
How long until my shoes arrive?
Every pair is made to order in our Gaziantep workshop, then shipped free to the U.S. — most orders arrive in about three weeks (roughly two weeks of crafting plus tracked shipping). Have a wedding or event coming up? Order at least four weeks ahead.
What if the fit isn’t right?
You’re covered. Within 30 days, get a free size exchange — we craft the right size and cover shipping. Prefer not to exchange? Choose store credit + a $25 bonus, or a refund to your original payment minus return shipping. Your exchange pair is handcrafted in about three weeks.
Can these shoes be resoled?
Yes. The Marquis is Blake-stitched with a leather sole, so a cobbler can resole it when the time comes — built to be repaired and worn for years, not thrown away.
What leather do you use?
Full-grain leather — the top layer of the hide and the highest grade. It’s more durable than corrected or “genuine” leather and develops a rich personal patina as you wear it.
How do I care for them?
Brush off dust after wear, apply a matching cream now and then to nourish the leather, and use cedar shoe trees to hold their shape. Avoid prolonged wet exposure — if caught in rain, stuff with paper and let them air-dry naturally.
