THE BREAK-IN GUIDE

Good leather is like a good relationship. It starts firm, but with a little time, it becomes the most comfortable thing you know.

Why It Feels Snug (At First)

Handcrafted shoes made from full-grain leather are designed to fit snugly right out of the box. This is intentional. Unlike synthetic materials, premium leather is a natural fiber that stretches and molds to the unique shape of your foot.

Think of the first few wears not as 'pain', but as a customization process. You are molding the shoe to be yours and yours alone.

THE BREAK-IN TIMELINE

Premium leather is a living material. It evolves from 'snug' to 'custom-fit' in three distinct phases. Here is what to expect during your first week.

Phase 1: The Handshake (Day 1-3)

Sensation: Snug, stiff, firm heel.
Action: Wear them indoors on carpet for 1-2 hours while sitting or standing. Do not wear them for a full work day yet.

Phase 2: The Negotiation (Day 4-7)

Sensation: Leather starts to soften at flex points.
Action: Short walks outside. Wear slightly thicker socks to protect your heels and speed up the stretching.

Phase 3: The Agreement (Day 8+)

Sensation: Custom fit, flexible, all-day comfort.
Action: Ready for the office, weddings, and long days. The cork footbed has now molded to your footprint.

Still Not Sure About The Fit?

If your toes are curled (painful) or your heel slips out completely while walking, the size might be wrong. A little heel movement (0.5cm) is normal for new stiff soles.
